20’s Plenty For Us

20’s Plenty

Our Parish Council supports the 20’s Plenty for Kent campaign and is calling on Kent County Council to implement 20mph in Herne & Broomfield. We will write to Kent County Council to request 20mph speed limits on streets throughout Kent where people live, work, shop, play or learn, with 30mph as the exception on those roads, where full consideration of the needs of vulnerable road users allows a higher limit.

Many residents of our parish, ask for lower speed limits in some of our local roads. However, it has been shown that it is less confusing and more effective to have a limit throughout an urban area, similar to Herne Bay or Faversham.

What do you think?

We would like to hear from YOU to gauge the support for 20 mph in our parish.
