Temporary Road Closure – Mill Lane, Herne

Temporary Road Closure – Mill Lane, Herne – 19th April 2022 (overnight up to 2 nights)

To allow sewer cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Herne.

A closure is planned from 19th April 2022, for up to 2 nights between the hours
of 19:00 and 06:00, or where stated on a valid Permit (LQ003SWAT11763024-02
– Southern Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed.

Mill Lane will be closed at the junction with A299 Thanet Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure will be in conjunction with a lane closure on A299 Thanet Way, Herne and Broomfield.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cleaning works are undertaken by Southern Water.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, School Lane and Mill Lane.
