Emergency Speed Limit Reduction – A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable – 4th August 2022 (Canterbury)
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 50 MPH will be imposed on a section of A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable.
The 50 MPH applies to East bound traffic only on the A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable from the A2990 Whitstable off-slip up to the A2990 Benacre on slip, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 4th August 2022 for up to 10 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as repair works are completed and it is safe to do so.
The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public due to the uneven road surface and will be in conjunction with a nearside lane 1 closure. This is required until carriageway repairs are undertaken (currently planned for w/c 8 August).
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
