Temporary Road Closure – A28 Sturry Road & B2248 Kingsmead Road, Canterbury – 14th October 2022 (Canterbury District)
It will be necessary to close part of the A28 Sturry Road & B2248 Kingsmead Road, Canterbury, from 14th October 2022 with estimated completion by 3rd December 2022.
B2248 Kingsmead Road will be closed between the junctions of B2248 St Stephens Road Roundabout and the A28 Tourtel Road Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site, and will be closed on the following dates and times:
From 20:00 hours on Friday 14th October 2022 until 05:00 hours on Monday 17th October 2022.
From 20:00 hours on Friday 28th October 2022 until 05:00 hours on Monday 31st October 2022.
Between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours from Monday 31st October 2022 until Saturday 5th November 2022.
A28 Sturry Road will be closed between the A28 Tourtel Road Roundabout and Honeywood Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site, and will be closed on the following dates and times:
From 08:00 hours on Saturday 5th November 2022 until 20:00 hours on Sunday 6th November 2022.
From 08:00 hours on Saturday 12th November 2022 until 20:00 hours on Sunday 13th November 2022.
From 08:00 hours on Saturday 19th November 2022 until 20:00 hours on Sunday 20th November 2022.
From 08:00 Saturday 26th November 2022 until 20:00 hours on Sunday 27th November 2022.
Between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours from Monday 28th November until Saturday 3rd December 2022.
For the closure at B2248 Kingsmead Road the alternative route for any through traffic is via B2248 St Stephen’s Road Roundabout, Broad Oak Road, Vauxhall Road, A28 Sturry Road and vice versa.
For the closure at A28 Sturry Road the alternative route for any through traffic is via B2248 Kingsmead Road, B2248 St Stephen’s Road Roundabout, Broad Oak Road, Vauxhall Road, A28 Sturry Road and vice versa.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while highway works are undertaken by Walker Construction UK Ltd.
