Update
The works below in William Street, Herne Bay have been rescheduled to take place from 20.00 hours on 27th June 2023, with an estimated completion by 06.00 on 28th June 2023.
Temporary Road Closure – William Street, Herne Bay – 22nd February 2023 (Canterbury District)
It will be necessary to close part of William Street, Herne Bay from 22nd February 2023 for up to 1 night between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
William Street, Herne Bay will be closed between the junctions with High Street and Hanover Square, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order on William Street will be temporarily suspended, between the junctions with High Street and Queen Street, to allow two-way access.
The alternative route is via William Street, Kings Road, Richmond Street, High Street and vice versa.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while reinstatement works are undertaken by South East Water.
