Temporary 40 MPH Speed Restriction – A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable – 1st July 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to temporarily impose a 40 mph speed restriction on part of A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable from 1st July 2023, with estimated completion by 31st March 2025.

The temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable will be imposed between Elgar Avenue roundabout up to the existing permanent 40 mph speed restriction prior to the Eastbound slip onto A299, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Section 278 works are undertaken by Orbit Homes 2020 Ltd.
