Southern Water – Temporary Road Closure – Herne Street, Herne
15th November 2023 (Canterbury District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of Herne Street, Herne from 15th November 2023, with estimated completion by 17th November 2023, between the hours of 20.00 and 06.00.
The road will be closed from the junction with Curtis Wood Park Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A291 Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road, Sturry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, Canterbury Road, St Nicholas Roundabout, A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer repair works are undertaken by Southern Water.
