UPDATE – Temporary Road Closure – St George’s Terrace, Herne Bay

Please note an additional closure is required, this will be from 07.00 hours on 11th December 2023, with estimated completion by 18.00 hours on 15th December 2023.

Please note, the below works and closures have been rescheduled for the following dates:
- Phase 1 – a closure is planned from 22nd August 2022, with estimated completion by 26th August 2022.
- Phase 2 – a closure is planned from 19th September 2022, with estimated completion by 23rd September 2022.
- Phase 3 – a closure is planned from 17th October 2022, with estimated completion by 21st October 2022.
- Phase 4 – a closure is planned from 21st November 2022, with estimated completion by 25th November 2022.
Each closure will be for two days only during each phase and during daytime hours only.
Temporary Road Closure – St George’s Terrace, Herne Bay – 8th July 2022 (Canterbury District)
It will be necessary to close part of St George’s Terrace, Herne Bay, in 4 phases as detailed below. Each closure will be for one day only during each phase and during daytime hours only:
Phase 1 – a closure is planned from 8th July 2022, with estimated completion by 15th July 2022.
Phase 2 – a closure is planned from 5th August 2022, with estimated completion by 12th August 2022.
Phase 3 – a closure is planned from 2nd September 2022, with estimated completion by 9th September 2022.
Phase 4 – a closure is planned from 7th October 2022, with estimated completion by 14th October 2022.
St George’s Terrace, Herne Bay, will be closed between the junctions of Lane End and Oxenden Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for Eastbound traffic is via Lane End, Central Parade, Station Road, and St George’s Terrace.
The alternative route for Westbound traffic is via Oxenden Street, and B2205 Avenue Road.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while crane operation works are undertaken by SAR Ltd.
