It was brought to my attention this week that cold calling traders have been doing the rounds over the last few weeks (latest targeted area Streetfield).
Please be aware that no reputable trader would be cold calling on your doorstep touting for business. They may seem friendly and nice but remember they just want your money, once work is completed you will not see them again and you will have no way of contacting them with issues later.
Also, even though you may think ‘Oh I will just use them as they won’t get one over on me, think of the vulnerable residents that will use them because their neighbour is, this gives them credibility!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SAY NO AND SHUT THE DOOR… CHECK YOUR NEIGHBOURS ARE OKAY AND MAKE THEM AWARE. AS A COMMUNITY WE ALL HAVE RESPONSIBILITY OF KEEPING EACH OTHER SAFE!!!
