Thank you so much for all that came to the Eco Show at the Herne Centre on Sunday. We had a great time making autumn wands, bug hotels and planting bulbs to take home.
There was a fantastic theatre show of Stories in the Dust – which the children (and adults) seemed to really enjoy. Plus the junk modelling workshop afterwards where the children made some excellent puppets.
A huge thank you to Wildwood, Bee Conservation, Repair Cafe, our community volunteers, 1st Broomfield Guides (who helped the children make the wands), Vincent’s Nursery (who donated bulbs, pots and compost), Broomfield Art – for their fantastic display, all the children that took part in the Trash to Treasure Competition, Canterbury City Council (for donations of pens, pencil cases, notepads, leaflets etc), Canterbury Garden Centre (for more bulbs) and all the Parish Councillors and staff who helped make the day a success.
