Unfortunately Friday 20th December is our wonderful KCC Community Warden, Lisa Harrison’s, last day in Herne and Broomfield.
We have a collection and card in the Parish Office if you wish to sign it. We are also having a farewell at the HuB cafe this Friday for her at 10am. Please come along.
As you may have seen in our newsletter after a review of the warden’s service undertaken by KCC our Parish was deemed not enough in need according to their Geographical Allocation Policy so Lisa is moving on and Herne and Broomfield will no longer have a Wardens Service.
Lisa has been a wonderful asset to our village. She carries out wellbeing visits to residents, as well as regularly checking on residents and the vulnerable within the community. She has stopped a number of rogue traders in the area and prevented lots of people loosing their hard earned money. She has supported community events, such as the children’s party, teddy zip wire and Halloween at the Mill.
She will be sorely missed by us all but we wish her the best for the future and good luck in your new area.
