ALERT! Charity Cold Callers Active in Kent

Residents in East Farleigh and Tonbridge are being targeted by cold callers claiming to work for a charity.One cold caller knocked on resident properties, claiming to be from Heart of Kent Hospice. The charity confirmed they do not send out cold callers seeking donations.The second cold caller repeatedly visited a resident’s home, claiming to be from a deaf charity but had no documents to prove he was working with the charity. They also wanted information about a neighbour.

What to do?Watch out❗ Never respond to cold callers knocking on your door.Report cold callers to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.For free advice, contact Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 223 1133.

Make sure you tell friends and relatives. Not everyone is aware of how cold callers can target us.
