

Canterbury police are appealing for any further information following reports concerning the occupants of a vehicle approaching females in the Herne Bay area.
On the 28th Feb 2023 Canterbury police arrested a male who had allegedly approached a young child and in a separate matter two females and attempted to engage them in conversation which was inappropriate. The male was stopped in this vehicle and subsequently arrested. They have been interviewed and bailed, as enquiries continue. We are asking for any other persons who may have been approached to contact Kent police and quote crime reference number 46/38489/23.
The incidents took place at the following locations Wild Wood, Wealden Forrest, Herne Common, Herne Bay and Kings Road, Herne Bay, they occurred in the afternoon of the 28th Feb.
Kent police take all matters involving violence against women and girls very seriously and this forms the cornerstone of our control strategy, we want to reassure the public that we will bring to justice those who commit crimes of this nature.
