CHUFFED TO BRING BACK MODEL RAILWAYS TO HERNE! Saturday 24th October.

The event will appeal to young and old fans of scaled down trains. The Centre’s halls and foyer will be packed with 14 model railway exhibits – set alongside a number of trade stands offering visitors the chance to purchase pre-loved items and spare parts for their own layouts – with Christmas in mind, of course!

Doors will be open from 10am to 4pm. Adult admission will be £6, Children 5-16 £1, Families (2+3) £12, and u-5s free.

EKMRS Chairman Nick Evans said:“We held a very successful event at Herne nearly two years ago – so we are looking forward to putting on a great show once more to be enjoyed by enthusiasts and families.”

The exhibits come in a range of scales and sizes, representing different eras of railway history. Each exhibit represents hours of painstaking work to capture a brief moment in time.

There is pay and display parking in front of The Centre but when busy people are asked to park sensibly on nearby roads. Frequent buses between Canterbury and Herne Bay stop a short distance from the venue as well. Light refreshments will be on sale during the event.

EKMRS hopes to recruit more members and details of how to join can be had by emailing ekmrswhitstable@gmail.com.
