SOUTH EAST WATER WORKS
(Although not Herne, for those who travel into Canterbury and use this route)
It will be necessary to close High Street, Fordwich from 4th March 2025 for up to 3 days.
The road will be closed at Primrose Villa.
The alternative route is via High Street, Moat Lane, Stodmarsh Road, A257 Littlebourne Road, St Martin’s Hill, Longport, Lower Chantry Lane, A2050 St George’s Place, A28 Lower Bridge Street, Broad Street, Military Road, Tourtel Road, Sturry Road, Mill Road, Water Lane, Fordwich Road, King Street and vice versa.
This is to enable utility repair and maintenance to be carried out by South East Water.
