The preparation is in full swing for this years GARDEN SAFARI. Sunday 8th June 11am – 5pm. Programmes are £5 per adult and we have 20 gardens for you to see in the Parish.
You may purchase programmes in advance from the Herne Centre (from 2nd June), on the day from the Herne Centre or any of the gardens on the trail – (CASH ONLY AT THE GARDENS).
To gain entry you MUST have a programme and you MUST show it to the person at the garden. All gardens on the trail will have a sign outside advertising it as open between 11am – 5pm.
We have many wonderful gardens, including new properties that have not taken part before. Some properties are also organising food such as afternoon tea, homemade cakes, ploughman’s and our cafe will be open here at the Herne Centre also. Some of the gardens are offering plants for sale as well as books…..
Vincents Nursery will be at the Herne Centre selling plants, and have kindly sponsored this years programmes, we also have the Herne Rose and Gardening Club here with a display and information as well as some activities for children. We also have a children’s art competition – see separate poster for details.
All proceeds will be divided between Community Projects in the Parish, Crossroads Care East Kent and Strode Park Foundation.
Please Note: Herne Mill open from 2pm – 5pm separate entry fee of £2 for over 16s, Under 16 and friends of the mill are free.
Strode Park Foundation only open from 11am – 3pm PLEASE ONLY GO WHERE DIRECTED.
