Coronation Celebration – The Herne Centre will be open from 10am, in time to see the procession to Westminster Abbey.

10.20am: King’s Procession – The King and Queen Consort will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach.
The King’s Procession, accompanied by The Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry, will depart Buckingham Palace through the Centre Gate, and proceed down The Mall, passing through Admiralty Arch and south of King Charles I Island, down Whitehall and along Parliament Street. The procession will travel around the east and south sides of Parliament Square and on to arrive at the Sanctuary of Westminster Abbey, where the Coronation Service will begin at 11 o’clock.
The Procession will cover 1.42 miles and lining the route will be over 1,000 members from all three services of the Armed Forces.
11am: The Coronation Ceremony takes place in Westminster Abbey, and lasts just over an hour.
12.15pm: Toast to the King and Queen at the Herne Centre followed by a free Buffet Lunch.
1pm: Coronation Procession: The return procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace will follow the same route as the first, but will be larger in scale.
Featuring nearly 4,000 military personnel, this major ceremonial operation will be the largest of its kind for a generation. It will include Armed Forces from across the Commonwealth and the British Overseas Territories and all Services of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, alongside The Sovereign’s Bodyguard and Royal Watermen.
The Royal British Legion will provide a Guard of Honour of 100 Standard Bearers to line the procession route in Parliament Square on the day of the Coronation.
Their Majesties will travel back to Buckingham Palace in the Gold State Coach, last seen during the Pageant of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in June 2022.
