Kent County Council – Urgent Road Closure – A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable & Yorkletts – London Bound only
11th October 2023 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to close A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable & Yorkletts – London Bound only from 11th October 2023 for up to 1 night.
The road will be closed between Whitstable on slip and Hernhill off slip.
The alternative route is via A299 Off Slip Westbound to Wraik Hill Roundabout, Clapham Hill, Pean Hill, Honey Hill, Blean Common, Blean Hill, Tile Kiln Hill, Whitstable Road, Rough Common Road, Palmars Cross Hill, Harbledown ByPass, Harbledown Slip Westbound On, A2 Dover Road and A2 Boughton ByPass.
It will also be necessary to suspend the environmental weight restriction on Rough Common Road and Palmars Cross Hill to allow for use by diverted traffic.
It is planned that the road will be closed between 20:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs.
This is to enable carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.
