Dear Kent Residents
Doorstep criminals have been active this week across Kent.
Legitimate traders do not turn up uninvited. Never agree to work from cold callers and do not feel pressured into making a decision on the doorstep.
If you see suspicious individuals going door to door, report them to CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online. If they refuse to leave or act aggressively, call 999 immediately.
If you need work carried out on your home, use a reputable trader through KCC Trading Standards Checked.
Please help protect vulnerable friends, neighbours and family members by sharing these warnings. For advice, contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
We are also sharing the latest food and product safety recalls to help residents identify items that may pose a risk. Please check the alerts below and follow the advice provided if you have any affected products.
