Inclusion in education webinars
Kent PACT have teamed up with KCC’s school inclusion team to run a series of webinars to help parents learn more about the resources and support available for children and young people in schools without the need for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and how to access them.

The topics were decided upon by parents taking part in a recent Kent PACT poll and parents will be able to take part in either daytime or evening slots.

Supporting young people with anxiety and emotionally-based school avoidance
A webinar to help parents understand more about anxiety and emotionally-based school avoidance and share support strategies has been published. The hour-long video is presented by a Kent Educational Psychologist and two parents from Kent Parents and Carers Together (PACT). The parents share their lived experience of how their children have experienced these difficulties as well as practical strategies and ways to support themselves and their child, and work constructively with their child’s school.

Celebrating autistic strengths and differences in Autism Acceptance Week
The Autism Education Trust (AET) created the video below to show that autism is a difference not a deficit. Recognising and understanding their differences leads to better support for autistic children and young people in education.
