Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of Mill Lane, Herne from 20th January 2025, with estimated completion by 24th January 2025, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
The road will be closed at the junction with A299 Thanet Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, School Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while heavy jetting works are undertaken by Southern Water.
This closure is in conjunction with a lane closure on A299 Thanet Way Westbound Off Slip, put in place for safety reasons.
