Today we have had a second report of loose rat poison being left in the alleyway from Forgefields to the schools, near Little Acorns Nursery.
This is highly dangerous to not only wildlife and domestic pets but also children who use the alleyway daily. We have placed signs and very kindly the member of the public who found this has removed it.
But please be vigilant when using the alleyway. We have reported these two incidents to the Police.
If you find more poison loose in the alley please report it to Canterbury City Council and the Police as a matter of urgency. If clearing it please use appropriate personal protection.
If you are aware of anyone that may be putting out the poison please advise them that a list of pest control officers are on the Canterbury City Council website and they will always give advice, and the poison must be in lockable containers.
