We have been informed by Canterbury City Council that they have been successful in a grant for £270,000 of Playground Funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). The funding has been specifically allocated to support improvements to children’s outdoor play areas in Herne Bay.
The following three sites are now due for refurbishment 2027/28 as a direct result of this grant.
Herne Bay Seafront Play Area, Central Herne Bay
Collins Road Play Area, Greenhill
Honeysuckle Way Play Area, Broomfield
