Kent County Council gives notice that Herne Street, Herne will be closed to through
traffic, on or after 28th March 2025 for up to 1 night.
The road will be closed between the roundabout at School Lane and Ridley Close.
The alternative route is via 291 Herne Street, Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay
Road, Sturry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, A299 St Nicholas
Roundabout, Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
It is planned that the road will be closed between 21:00 hrs and 02:00 hrs.
This closure is necessary to enable carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent
County Council.
