Kent County Council – Temporary Road Closure – School Lane, Herne – 3rd April 2024
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of School Lane, Herne from 3rd April 2024, for up to 1 day, between the hours of 09.00 and 16.30.
The road will be closed between the junction with Herne Street and the junction with Mill Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic:-
Northeast bound is via the A291 Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road Interchange, Margate Road, Hunters Forstal Road, Mill Lane and School Lane.
Southwest bound is via School Lane, Mill Lane, A299 Thanet Way and A291 Canterbury Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while street lighting works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
