To help keep our trains on time this autumn we’re making some small changes to some of our services.
From Sunday 11 October, some trains have been retimed, and departure times throughout the day may be slightly earlier or later.
So, whether you travel every day or a little less often, please check your train time before setting off.
Why we’re changing the timetable
Each autumn, fallen leaves on the track and other challenging weather conditions can affect how trains run. To help keep services running smoothly, we usually make some small changes to our timetable on certain routes. We know how important reliable train services are to you, which is why Southeastern and Network Rail work together throughout the year to prepare for seasonal conditions and minimise disruption wherever possible.
We also work hard to maintain infrastructure, this includes:
Managing trees and bushes alongside the railway.
Running special trains that clean the rails and improve grip.
Using specialist technology and equipment to monitor rail conditions.
