Temporary Footway Closure & Temporary 40 MPH Speed Restriction – A2990 Thanet Way, Herne Bay – 16th January 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to restrict through traffic and pedestrians on A2990 Thanet Way, Herne Bay from 16th January 2023 for up to 12 weeks.

The following restrictions will only be in place between the hours of 07:00 – 10:00 and 14:00 – 19:00.

The footway closure and mandatory 40 mph speed restriction will be imposed on the A2990 Thanet Way, Herne Bay between the junctions with Greenhill Roundabout and Chestfield Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via the carriageway of A2990 Thanet Way, as indicated on site.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and cycleway works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
