Temporary Road Closure – Mickleburgh Hill & Reculver RoadHerne Bay – 22nd January 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to close part of Mickleburgh Hill & Reculver RoadHerne Bay from 22nd January 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00.

The roads will be closed from the vicinity of Blacksole Bridge to outside number 2 Reculver Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for traffic travelling northbound on Mickleburgh Hill is via Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Margate Road, A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road and Mickleburgh Hill.

The alternative route for traffic travelling southbound on Mickleburgh Hill is via Mickleburgh Hill, A291 Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road Interchange and Margate Road.

The alternative route for traffic travelling northbound on Reculver Road is via Reculver Road, Grange Road, King Edward Avenue and Mickleburgh Hill.

The alternative route for traffic travelling southbound on Reculver Road is via Reculver Road, Sweechbridge Road, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange and Margate Road.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
