Temporary Road Closure – Shalloak Road

Temporary Road Closure – Shalloak Road, Canterbury – 9th August 2021

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Shalloak Road, Canterbury from 9th August 2021 at 23:45, with estimated completion by 10th August 2021 at 05:00.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vauxhall Road, A28 Sturry Road, Mill Road, A291 Sturry Hill, Herne Bay Road, Sweechgate and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing maintenance and other associated works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
