Temporary Road Closure & Speed Restriction – Thornden Wood Road & Greenhill Road, Herne Bay

17th July 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on Thornden Wood Road from 17th July 2023, with an estimated completion of 11th August 2023, at the junction with Molehill Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Greenhill Road will be closed from 11th September 2023, with an estimated completion of 13th October 2023, in the vicinity of number 160, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Thornden Wood Road will be closed from 16th October 2023, with an estimated completion of 17th November 2023, between the junctions of Molehill Road and Greenhill Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Greenhill Road is via Thornden Wood Road, Owls Hatch Road, Bullockstone Road, Greenhill Road (E), Greenhill Road (W) and vice versa.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow Section 278 works to be undertaken by Kingsheath Construction Ltd.
