Temporary Road Closure – Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay

31st July 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to close part of Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay from 31st July 2023, with estimated completion by 27th August 2023.

Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay will be closed at the entrance to the Taylor Wimpey Development, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for Northbound traffic is via Sweechbridge Road, Heart in Hand Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Mickleburgh Hill and Reculver Road.

The alternative route for Southbound traffic is via Reculver Road, Margate Road, A299 Thanet Way, Heart in Hand Road, May Street and Sweechbridge Road.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Section S78 works and carriageway widening works are undertaken by Landmark Groundworks.
