Temporary Road Closure & Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction – Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay – 22nd October 2022 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to close part of Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay, from 22nd October 2022 with estimated completion by 30th October 2022.
In conjunction, an Order has been made to temporarily impose a mandatory 30 MPH speed limit on part of Sweechbridge Road, extending the 30 MPH speed limit from the northern boundary of Windrush for a distance of approximately 75 metres in a southerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The speed restriction is planned from 31st October 2022, with estimated completion by 4th November 2022.
Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay, will be closed from outside One Call Property Services to the junction with Neville Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for Northbound traffic is via Sweechbridge Road, Heart In Hand Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Mickleburgh Hill and Reculver Road.
The alternative route for Southbound traffic is via Reculver Road, Margate Road, A299 Thanet Way, Heart In Hand Road, May Street and Sweechbridge Road.
The closure and speed restriction are required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility works are undertaken by Harlaxton Gas Networks Limited.
