A safety alert has been issued about pimple popping squishies containing needles sold via online marketplaces including Amazon, eBay and Wish.
The squishy toys with ‘pimples’ were supplied with a needle or syringe with a sharp point that could puncture the skin, meaning it carries a risk of injury.
The products have been withdrawn from the online marketplaces, which include Amazon, eBay, Fruugo, OnBuy, AliExpress, Alibaba and Wish.

Anyone who has bought the toys should stop using them immediately. Do not handle the needle. Place the needle in a puncture-resistant container and secure the lid to prevent the needle from protruding or causing injury and ensure it is kept out of reach of children until it can be disposed of safely.
Contact your local authority for guidance on the safe disposal of sharps in your area. Your local pharmacy or GP surgery may accept sharps for disposal, but check in advance.
It is important these needles are disposed of safely and appropriately, and treated as a sharp, to reduce the risk of injury and potential infection.

Rice and pesto products sold by retailers including Tesco and M&S have been recalled due to presence of salmonella.
The bacteria has been found in pistachio nuts, used as an ingredient in the products.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should stay away from work, school or nursery until you have stopped having symptoms for at least 48 hours to avoid passing it on to others.
