Urgent Road Closure – Island Road, Sturry – 27th September 2021 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to close Island Road, Sturry from 27th September 2021 for up to 5 nights.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A291 Herne Bay Road and Blackthorn Road.
The alternative route is via A28, Island Road, Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road and Sturry Hill.
It is planned that the road will be closed between 19:00 hrs and 06:00 hrs each night.
This is to enable carriageway maintenance to be carried out by Kent County Council.
