Urgent Road Closure – Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay

27th March 2023 (Canterbury)

It will be necessary to close Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay from 27th March 2023 for up to 1 night.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Neville Road and Maystreet.

The alternative route is via:

Northbound traffic is via Sweechbridge Road, Heart in Hand Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Mickleburgh Hill and Reculver Road.

Southbound traffic is via Reculver Road, Margate Road, A299 Thanet Way, Heart in Hand Road, May Street and Sweechbridge Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 19:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs.

Access is to be maintained for residents where safe to do so.

This is to enable carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.
