Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of Ford Road, Herne from 29th September 2026, with estimated completion by 1st October 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the Landfill Site, Broomfield Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ford Road, Broomfield Road, Margate Road, Ford Hill, Ford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and cover works are undertaken by South East Water.
