Community Fun Day is postponed until 22nd August 2021
After a great deal of consideration, it has been decided to postpone the Community Fun Day, to be held on Cherry Orchard on Sunday.
The main reason is the weather forecast for the day. We have coped with rain in the past, but thunderstorms pose a bigger threat and our Health and Safety advisor considered that it would be better to postpone.
The Health and Safety issues aside, we want the Traders to make a profit, as they have had such a terrible couple of years, and we want the volunteers to enjoy the event, along with those in the Community who attend.
After discussions, St Martin’s, Strode Park and Herne & Broomfield Parish Council therefore agreed to postpone until 22nd August.
We hope all will come along and enjoy the day.

We will continue to collect items donated for raffles, tombola’s etc. they can be dropped off at Herne Centre or Strode Park.
