This has been extended to 12/08/22 due to further investigations to locate sewer.
Emergency Road Closure – Central Parade, Herne Bay – 3rd August 2022 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to close Central Parade, Herne Bay from 3rd August 2022 for up to 10 days.
The road will be closed at the junction with Richmond Street.
The alternative route is via Central Parade, Lane End, B2205 Avenue Road, High Street, Canterbury Road, Central Parade and vice versa.
This is to enable urgent works to build a new manhole in carriageway to help with maintenance and prevent internal flooding. Works to be carried out by Southern Water.
