Detectives charge man following Canterbury robbery investigation
A suspect is to appear in court charged with the robbery of a Canterbury business.
Kent Police received a report at around 4.30pm on Monday 27 February 2023 that a member of staff had sustained a hand injury during an incident in which three diamond rings were stolen from a commercial premises in The Parade. A suspect was detained by a member of staff assisted by security staff. He was then arrested by attending officers.
Following an investigation into the incident, Graham Walters, 38, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of robbery and appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 March. He was remanded to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
