SGN – Temporary Road Closure & Temporary One-Way Suspension – Mortimer Street, Herne Bay
23rd October 2023 (Canterbury District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Mortimer Street, Herne Bay from 23rd October 2023, with estimated completion by 27th October 2023.
Mortimer Street, Herne Bay will be closed from the junction with North Street to the junction with Chapel Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-Way Order on Mortimer Street will be temporarily suspended between North Street and East Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via:-
Diversion 1 – North Street, High Street, East Street, Mortimer Street.
Diversion 2 – East Street, Charles Street, North Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas supply works are undertaken by SGN.
