Delays expected in Herne on Wednesday 15th September 2021
Please be aware there may be delays and congestion in Herne village tomorrow before and after 2pm.
This is due to the funeral service of a young man who died last month, which will take place at St Martin’s Church in Herne.
Beforehand, a very large procession, including a horse-drawn hearse, will make its way from the family home in Bullockstone Road at noon and through to the centre of Herne Bay.
They will be stopping at the Bullockstone Road bridge for everyone to pay their respects there, and will then travel into Herne Bay and stop at the Druid’s Head in the High Street for 10 minutes, before moving on to Herne.
Parking is expected to be very limited, so please allow extra time if you are driving, or if you are able to, please walk to collect your children from school.
