School Run Parking

Now that the schools are back, we would kindly like to ask you to be mindful of a couple of things when taking and collecting children from school.

Firstly, please park considerately and do not block driveways. Residents do need to be able to enter and leave their properties.

Secondly, could you please switch off your engine. Keeping the car running increases the pollution in the air, which isn’t good for residents or children, especially if they have asthma or another chest problem. We might all be aware of the pollution in the centre of the village, but not the increase in other areas around school times.

If possible, perhaps you could park a bit further away and take a slightly longer walk. This can have many benefits to health and wellbeing, as well as easing some of the parking and pollution issues around the schools and neighbouring streets.
