Help us to stop doorstep criminals
Dear Kent Residents,
As we enjoy the last of the summer sunshine, doorstep criminals will use this weather to their advantage and target vulnerable residents in Kent. Fraudsters often start with small repairs around the property and then frighten residents into having further unnecessary work done by saying it is “serious and urgent”
Almost £19 million was lost to doorstep crime last year, with residents losing life savings and being left with poor quality work on their property. Victims of doorstep crime are 2.5 times more likely to end up in care or worse.
Say NO to cold callers⛔ Never agree to having work done from someone knocking on your door.
Please stay alert, take care and stay safe.
