Emergency Speed Limit Reduction – A299 Thanet Way, Herne Bay – 16th August 2022 (Canterbury)
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 50 MPH will be imposed on a section of A299 Thanet Way, Herne Bay.
The 50 MPH applies in both directions on A299 Thanet Way, Herne Bay between the junctions of Northstream and Heart In Hand Road, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 16th August 2022 for up to 21 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed and it is safe to do so.
The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public and workforce whilst carriageway repairs are to be carried out by Kent County Council.
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
