Emergency Speed Limit Reduction – A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable – 9th June 2021 (Canterbury)
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 40 MPH will be imposed on a section of A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable.
The 40 MPH applies in both directions on A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable from the existing 40mph sign for approximately 300 metres in an easterly direction, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 9th June 2021 for up to 14 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed and it is safe to do so.
The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public and workforce whilst carriageway excavations are to be carried out by Trooli Ltd.
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
