We have been notified of a scam where a company / person is calling to book in to carry out an inspection and complete an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate). They are stating ALL properties need one by the end of the year. This is NOT the case.
The only times an EPC is required is for:
New builds
When selling your property
When there is a new tenant
(There are exemptions)
If a company is reputable they do not cold call. If in any doubt take their details and check with KCC Trading Standards:
