Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Margate Road, Herne & Bogshole Lane, Herne Bay from 19th January 2026 – 2nd April 2026.
Margate Road will be closed from 19th January 2026, with estimated completion by 2nd April 2026 between the junction with Bogshole Lane and number 17-52 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for through traffic is via Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Margate Road, Mickleburgh Hill, Reculver Road, Sweechbridge Road, Heart In Hand Road and vice versa.
Bogshole Lane will be closed from DATES TO BE CONFIRMED, in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas mains replacement works are undertaken by SGN.
