Southern Water – Temporary Road Closure – Mill Lane, Herne
22nd November 2023 (Canterbury District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of Mill Lane, Herne from 19.00 hours on 22nd November 2023, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 23rd November 2023.
The road will be closed at the junction of Mill Lane leading to A299 Thanet Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The restrictions on Mill Lane will be in conjunction with a lane closure on A299 Thanet Way.
The alternative route for any through traffic:-
Southbound is via A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, School Lane and Mill Lane.
Northbound is via Mill Lane, Hunters Forstal Road, Margate Road and A299 Thanet Way.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Southern Water.
