Temporary 40 mph Speed Restriction – A2990 Thanet Way, Herne Bay – 4th January 2021
Please note, the below works never commenced as planned and have now been replanned from 25th October 2021, with estimated completion by 6th February 2022.
Temporary traffic signals will be removed by 26th November 2021 and they will return on 14th January 2022.
Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on part of the A2990 (Old) Thanet Way, Herne Bay from 4th January 2021, with estimated completion by 4th March 2021.
A mandatory 40 mph speed restriction will be temporarily imposed from 100 metres west of the junction with Westbrook Lane up to the existing 40 mph signs approximately 227 metres west of the roundabout with Greenhill Road, to the extents indicated by appropriate signage on site and while using temporary traffic signals.
The speed restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reconstruction and widening works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
