Urgent Prohibition of Turning –A28 Thanington Road, Thanington Without – 1st November 2021 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to prohibit vehicles from turning on parts of A28 Thanington Road, Thanington Without on or after 1st November 2021 for up to 6 days.
1. Prohibition of right turn onto the A2 Dover Road (London bound) at its junction with the A28.
The alternative route is via A28 Thanington Road, Ashford Road, Milton Manor roundabout and back to turn left onto the A2 on slip.
2. Prohibition of right turn onto the A2 Dover Road Dover bound at its junction with the A28.
The alternative route for light vehicles is via A28 Wincheap, Wincheap Green, Wincheap roundabout back to turn left onto the A2 on slip.
The alternative route for vehicles over 14’ 9” 4.4m is via A2 on slip, A2 Dover Road, Dunkirk westbound off slip, Canterbury Road, A2 Boughton Bypass.
3.Prohibition of left turn onto Ten Perch Road at its junction with the A28.
The alternative route is via A28 Wincheap, Cow Lane and The Boundary.
The restrictions are necessary to enable highway improvement works to be carried out by Breheny Civil Engineering.
